In short: The purpose of the technical project manager’s role is to undertake the phases, activities and tasks within specified time, cost, safety and quality constraints to deliver the required project outcome and achieve satisfaction of the principal. Manage all project controls (Time, Money, Quality, Organization, Information, Risks and Safety).
As a project manager:
-You are responsible for the end to end delivery of your project. Your projects can involve e.g. Processing and/or packaging line expansions and the occasional greenfield project, both national- and international.
-You define the approach for both engineering, procurement as construction and start-up together with your team in all stages of the project.
-You deliver your projects according to budget and schedule without making concessions to quality and safety.
-You are a decisive and persuasive discussion partner.
-You are used to drafting investment requests, and if required deep-dive into the drivers of projects and challenge the starting points and statements handed to you.
-You are accustomed to managing a multidisciplinary team, and able to be objective when your team is not aligned. Your good communication and organization skills result in committed stakeholders and a motivated team to successfully execute this project.
-You coordinate the activities of the team members, monitor progress and compliance to the project execution plan.
-You manage and mitigate project risks and resources. In this role you deal with various stakeholders with various interests, from marketing, sales to operations and from R&D to maintenance. Working under time pressure brings out the best in you and with your coaching skills you inspire other direct colleagues help them to develop themselves.
