About this work area
As Visual Merchandise & Activity Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:• Lead and manage a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity co-workers and inspire and challenge them to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store.
• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people's life at home.
• Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
• Working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
• Securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.
• Recruiting, developing, and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive, and honest, two-way feedback.
As Visual Merchandise & Activity Manager you have:
• A deep passion, curiosity, energy and understanding of home furnishing and people's everyday lives at home.
• Higher education qualifications in visual merchandising or design, and a solid background of working as a visual merchandiser.
• Clear technical strengths, with experience working with SketchUp, AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• A motivational leader who can engage people fully to reach set goals and generate growth and long-term profitability.
• Ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others to make the most efficient use of time
• Experience of working in a fast retail and customer-focused environment.
• Confident in communicating, influencing, and coaching others and continually seek new opportunities to improve the way we work, and encourage your team to do so.
