The Financial Systems team provides technology expertise to the finance department and is responsible for the implementation of all Financial Workflows and corresponding Financial Reports in SAP S/4 HANA, and connected 3rd party systems at Booking.com.
We want to change the way people work with SAP, Data and custom build applications by providing finance users a simplification of business processes, and empowers the finance community with better financial insights and reports.
Therefore we are seeking a Technical Product Manager that can join our FS Data Team who can help drive the technical innovation in our Financial Reporting based on BI and can assist with the delivery of all major Financial Reports for our Finance Users.
Key Job Responsibilities and DutiesServe in a techno-functional product role as the primary coordinator between stakeholders, BI Engineering teams and program teams across the reporting lifecycle - design, development, and testing.
Hold regular business reviews to update stakeholders and management on progress, supported by periodic project status reports.
Process Management: Maintain and optimize planning processes, facilitate SCRUM, and manage Jira (including customization, reporting, and workflows). Oversee capacity planning.
Timeline Management: Track and communicate project timelines (developed by engineering), proactively highlighting risks and dependencies.
Stakeholder Communication: Prepare meeting minutes, provide regular project status updates (tailored to audience), and manage stakeholder expectations. Facilitate external team communication (in collaboration with the Engineering Manager).
Lead requirements gathering and producing clear, actionable PRDs
Understanding Business Processes, assess how they affect reporting, and support the team in turning them into technical solutions
Review other stream PRDs and provide feedback from a reporting perspective.
Understand the program’s goals, set a prioritized roadmap, and keep a clean, business-aligned backlog
Support the creation and rollout of data products
3-5 years of relevant experience in delivering products, with SAP data and reporting technologies.
Strong product experience assisting with roadmap planning and coordination with technical and finance teams
Deep understanding of the direction of the business and the problems faced by platform users: extract and identify requirements from other business initiatives, customer requirements and prioritize them
SAP implementation experience, knowledge of finance processes is a plus
Data warehousing knowledge, SAP BI tool experience, and data-product exposure are preferred
Demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills internally and externally
Experience working with Agile development methodologies. Collaboration with Engineering Managers and Finance Stakeholders
Builds bridges between technical and non-technical stakeholders
