The CEO Netherlands is responsible for the overall strategic and operational leadership of our recycling business in the Dutch market, including full P&L accountability. The role focuses on driving sustainable growth, fostering innovation, and strengthening the company’s competitive position internationally..
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Define and execute the business strategy for metal recycling in the Netherlands, aligned with the company’s long-term vision.
- Identify new business opportunities and emerging markets to expand the company’s footprint.
- Drive commercial activities, negotiate key contracts, and build strong relationships with customers and partners to increase revenue and market share.
- Oversee procurement of raw materials and services, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Inspire, lead, and develop high-performing teams to achieve ambitious objectives.
- Establish and monitor budgets, ensuring compliance with investment commitments and financial targets (EBITDA, cash flow, ROCE).
- Oversee and optimize production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to environmental standards.
- Guarantee seamless integration within the ArcelorMittal Group and ensure strict application of corporate procedures.
- Analyze operational data, identify improvement areas, and implement actionable plans to enhance performance.
- Maintain strong communication and collaboration with BD Recycling management and key stakeholders.
- Champion ArcelorMittal’s health and safety culture across all local teams.
Requirements
- Significant professional leadership experience
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of recycling industry practices and market dynamics in Netherlands, proven experience in waste management & metal recycling technologies
- Entrepreneurial mindset and innovative spirit
- Results-oriented with strong performance record, able to drive performance and profitability
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- High level of self-organization and detail-orientation
- Good oral and written communication skills in Dutch and English, German a plus
