- Evaluates and assesses the different repair estimates and decides on the further trajectory of the container such as repair, claim, evacuate, off-hire, sell
- Schedules physical surveys or audits at depots
- Acts as the spokesperson on Maintenance and Repair matters for Sales / Customer Services departments, customers, depots, and terminals
- Monitors and maintains M&R costs for all locations within the Benelux and Rhine area
- Visits depots to discuss M&R procedures
- Ensures rate and estimate integration within the M&R system
- The ideal candidate should have at least four (4) years of experience in Maintenance and Repair, with solid knowledge of container, reefer, and unit repairs.
- Holding an IICL5 or IICL6 certification is considered an advantage.
- A general understanding of and experience within the maritime industry is expected.
- Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to explain complex business scenarios to customers, senior leadership, and middle management.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- A professional attitude, resilience under pressure, and a positive mindset are key.
- Fluency in Dutch and English is required; proficiency in French is preferred.
