Independent Chef I for New King B.V.

We are Chinese restaurant New King B.V. And are looking for a passionate Independent Chef (Zelfstandig Werkend Kok I) to strengthen our kitchen team. Are you a chef who performs at your best in the kitchen? As a chef, you are responsible for the preparation and presentation of dishes and dish components. You work under the supervision of our head chef or owner, but you are also able to run the kitchen independently. In addition, you collaborate with your fellow chefs and, when necessary, supervise kitchen assistants. Tasks

• Selecting and preparing (washing, cutting, mixing, etc.)
• Conducting intermediate checks (doneness, taste, color, etc.) and making adjustments as needed.
• Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene.
• Supervising the work of kitchen assistants and making corrections where necessary.
• Keeping track of stock levels, ordering ingredients, and checking deliveries.
• Daily cleaning of the work environment, kitchen equipment, and workstations.
• Reporting technical faults and resolving minor issues.
• Providing input regarding the composition and adjustments of menus, the menu list, and working methods

Requirements

• You take independent initiative and act solution-oriented.
• You work with conviction and dare to take responsibility.
• MBO-3 work and thinking level (If you don't meet the requirements, apply anyway!)
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
