Accounts payable employee (temporary)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable professional who thrives in a dynamic, evolving finance environment in Leiden.
Over het werk

As a senior accounts payable specialist, you are responsible for the accurate and timely processing of incoming invoices within our financial systems. You ensure correct coding, VAT handling and cost-center allocation, while maintaining a clean and structured accounts payable ledger through regular analysis and reconciliations. You are the central point of contact for colleagues with questions about past or current bookings, providing clear explanations and solutions when needed. You also handle employee expense declarations, support the monthly closing process with the preparation of specifications, and ensure all payment batches are accurately prepared, checked and processed on time. In this role, you operate within a dedicated AP team and report directly to the Credit Control Manager, contributing to the further professionalization of our European financial operations.

Wat wij bieden

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role in an international setting
• Mbo level 4 diploma or equivalent working and thinking level
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
• Excellent command of MS Office and experience with financial systems
• A proactive, accurate, analytical mindset and ready to work temporary
