De RolAs General Manager of our Olleco Bunge depot in Diemen you are the driving force behind our operations. You are fully responsible for the profit and loss and manage the daily operation with a commercial perspective and keen eye on cost control. You are a natural leader who gives direct direction to a team of drivers and support staff, and you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and be involved in every facet of building and growing the company.
Operationeel Leiderschap & Wagenparkbeheer- Direct onboarding, coaching and development of the driver team (currently 3‑4 vehicles), ensuring optimal efficiency and compliance with procedures.
- Planning, coordination and supervision of multi‑stop collection routes.
- Optimisation of fleet utilisation and fleet management, including the hire of additional vans if needed.
- Development and implementation of robust, efficient logistics processes that support growth.
- Ensuring safety is always a priority in all operational activities.
- Full responsibility for revenue and cost streams, focusing on profitability.
- Proactive and stringent cost control across all fronts, including payroll, depot costs and procurement.
- Continuous identification of savings opportunities and optimisation of operational efficiency.
- Weekly financial reporting and leveraging customer‑ and operational data to spot opportunities and enhance efficiency.
- Growing Olleco Bunge’s market share in the Netherlands through autonomous growth across diverse channels.
- Close collaboration with the Sales Manager to support growth projects and lay a solid foundation for the future.
- Customer satisfaction is top priority; you deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Active communication with clients, including small to medium restaurants and hotels, building durable relationships.
- Development of unique selling propositions to stay ahead of the competition.
- Active contribution to building and strategic development of the business, adopting an owner mindset to drive expansion.
- Embracing a multi‑role approach, tackling diverse tasks and projects essential to building and scaling the operation.
- Demonstrated management experience in a comparable hands‑on, operational and commercial role.
- Strong background in (transport) fleet management and customer delivery, preferably in multi‑stop distribution.
- Experience in service‑orientated sectors with comparable fleet sizes and distribution models is a significant plus, such as laundries, beer delivery, food delivery or waste management.
- Proven track record delivering results in a commercial/logistics role.
- Experience driving growth via autonomous expansion and diverse channels.
- A proactive, decisive and results‑oriented individual with strong drive and an owner mindset.
- Strong leadership skills to motivate, develop and inspire a team to exceptional performance (including talent and succession planning).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team, customers and stakeholders.
- Flexibility, comfortable with a wide range of tasks and able to pivot quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical ability and proficiency in using data to identify business opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, written and spoken.
- Preference for residing near our Diemen office (Verrijn Stuartweg 95, Diemen).
- Willing to travel occasionally to our other office in Oud Gastel (Standerdmolen 8a, Noord‑Brabant) if support is needed.
