As a Principal DFIR Consultant, you lead by example and serve as a recognized subject‑matter expert both internally and externally. Your expertise helps keep Fox‑IT known for its high‑quality work and drives marketing through blogs, podcasts, interviews and other external exposure. You ensure the quality of work remains high by reviewing others’ work, coaching teams, and spotting and filling knowledge gaps. In addition, you build bridges between your own discipline and other business lines, ensuring that the right expertise is delivered to add value across the company.
Job PurposeTo provide strategic leadership, coaching, and knowledge sharing that enhances client outcomes, drives business impact, and raises the overall quality and visibility of Fox‑IT’s services.
Key Accountabilities- Coaching and developing project teams to a next level during cases (leadership by example, not just individual coaching).
- Have a strategic business impact on clients during and after cases, empowering Fox‑IT to become a trusted C‑level advisor.
- Demonstrate overall leadership on the largest projects.
- Consistently display behavior that drives positive change.
- Take full responsibility for identifying problems and opportunities, motivating teams, overcoming obstacles, and implementing structural improvements with strategic business impact.
- Prove that qualifying for Principal is not a matter of ticking boxes but of owning and executing a long‑lasting strategic plan.
- Technical knowledge of at least a few areas of the field.
- Project management skills for the largest client projects.
- Coaching/teaching skills.
- Focus on external knowledge sharing (SME) or internal quality control.
- Innovation mindset.
- (Pre‑)Sales skills.
- Presentation skills for external presentations.
- External people network with broad types of connections.
- More technical in‑depth knowledge of multiple areas, obtained through advanced work experience.
- Ability to communicate with senior leadership regarding impact of strategic decisions.
- Required to influence internal and external parties to accept concepts, practices and approaches where there is unwillingness or skepticism.
