Assai is growing! With our first Head of Legal onboard, we’re growing our team and looking for a (Senior) Legal Counsel to join.

Our flagship Assai DMS manages critical documents for industries like energy, oil & gas, construction, and infrastructure, while Assai Viewport uses AI to consolidate technical data, enhance search, and ensure data consistency. Together, they form a fully integrated platform trusted by clients across EMEA, APAC, and the US.
We’re a diverse team of 100+ professionals from 20+ nationalities, operating and growing from the Netherlands and globally. We are currently exploring merging our Dutch offices into a centrally located site in Utrecht, easily accessible by car and public transport.
About the RoleLead on cross-border commercial contracts, support employment, corporate, privacy, dispute resolution, and project-based legal matters, develop and improve templates, policies, and other legal documentation, and act as a trusted advisor for Sales, HR, Finance, CloudOps, and other teams.

- Develop and improve templates, policies, and other legal documentation to further shape the foundation of the legal department
- Trusted advisor for Sales, HR, Finance, CloudOps, and other teams

- University degree in law and 6-9 years in-house, consulting or law firm experience, ideally in tech and cross-border contracts
- Strong expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, as well as templates, policies, and other legal documentation
- Solid understanding of Dutch law, and fluency in Dutch and English language
- Proactive, business-minded and a collaborative mindset
- Ability to hold your ground with senior commercial colleagues with openness to learning and growth
- Available 4-5 days per week, hybrid work possible
€60000 - €90000 monthly
