This position develops and maintains professional relationships with internal partners such as supply planning, finance, sales and marketing, and product management. This position will focus on anticipated changes in the portfolio such as new product introductions (NPIs) and product end‑of‑life (EOL) events. Also focus on category or group expansion through added variation to current, discontinued or end‑of‑life products. This role provides the basis for the demand planner to create a consensus demand plan with an organized portfolio and expands to include participation in sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes, as well as contributions to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives.

What will you be responsible for?- Prepare for the product portfolio planning meeting by updating the product launch and retirement schedules and identifying new risks and opportunities for product portfolio plans.
- Make the product portfolio planning meeting a value‑added, decision‑making forum by reviewing any gaps between the latest plans versus revenue goals (as determined in the new products budget), and for any risk of project delays and opportunities. Decide on the best scenario for moving forward.
- Finalize the product portfolio step by formally recording decisions on new product schedules and capturing updated forecasts as part of demand planning.
- In a RACI model, this position is in the Responsible, Accountable and Consulted mode.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain, IT or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, skills, training and education.
- Supply chain/operations or forecasting certification is a plus.
- Proven experience of forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance and manufacturing.
- 3+ years’ experience in modeling, demand planning, forecasting or market analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects at once.
- Accustomed to using a variety of technology tools and applications to support daily work.
- Experience of working in a team‑based environment.
- Experience of demand and supply reconciliation and gap recognition within the planning process and assumptions.
