Novel Broadband (Visible-to-Shortwave Infrared) CMOS Image Sensor Pixel Architectures

Job description

The Image Sensor Group in the Electronic Instrumentation Lab is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to lead a new line of research on novel pixel architectures for broadband (Visible-to-Shortwave Infrared) applications. This project will focus on pixel-level innovations, pushing the boundaries of image sensor technology through advanced pixel design

Your key responsibilities include:

• Researching novel application-specific pixel architectures
• Developing hardware for characterization and application demonstration
• Coordinating cleanroom processes
• Preparing and maintaining documentation, consolidating results, and interfacing with project stakeholders
• Presenting research outcomes in progress meetings, consortium settings, and conferences
• Supervising and mentoring Ph.D students

Job requirements

• Ph.D degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with analog electronics, IC design and layout
• Experience with CMOS image sensor pixel design is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in English (written and oral).

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS) brings together three scientific disciplines.
