Dig a hole, plant some seeds, wait a few months... and hope for a crop. That's not how farming works, is it? You need more than a shovel to keep up in the agricultural sector. And people work really hard to get that stuff to the farmers. Will you help them?
Tell me more...
Chop chop! We're talking about one of the biggest retailers for the agricultural sector, one that has been enormously growing over the past years. They provide machines and other materials for farmers all over Europe. With their state-of-the-art products, thousands and thousands of farmers are happy they exist. And with reason. Their service is unparalleled and fast. But behind this customer service, there's lots of organization and developing to do. That is where you come in.
What will I be doing here?
Time to get your hands dirty, but not in the soil! You're the engineer who makes things happen. The digital platform you work on serves thousands of customers and pulls in over a billion euros a year. As a Full Stack Java Developer, you take full ownership of your domains, building end-to-end solutions with Java on the backend and React on the frontend. Every line of code, every API, every experiment you push helps farmers, dealers, and suppliers across Europe get their work done faster and smarter.
You're hands-on with CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform, and keep infrastructure tidy with Terraform. Relational or NoSQL databases? You've got it covered. You own the full software lifecycle and make every feature, experiment, and release count. Bugs, hiccups, messy deployments? You spot them, fix them, and keep the platform healthy.
That sounds good, but can I do it?
Absolutely. You've got at least five years of experience across back-end and front-end development. You live in the cloud, tame CI/CD pipelines, wrangle Terraform, and speak fluent database (relational and NoSQL). You take ownership from concept to production, communicate clearly with your team and stakeholders, and always think about the end user.
Forget shovels... Your tools are:
- Back-end development: Java or Go
- Front-end development: React
- Cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- CI/CD pipelines: creating, implementing, and refining
- Infrastructure as code: Terraform
- Version control & collaboration: GitHub
- Databases: relational and NoSQL-
- Designing, building, and delivering scalable, well-tested APIs
- Full software development lifecycle ownership
And will I be financially able to buy presents for people?
That depends on how fancy you get with the presents, but with a monthly salary between €4.500 and €5.500 gross plus a profit-sharing bonus, you'll easily be able to spoil the ones you love. On top of that, you get travel allowance, a generous pension plan, and all the equipment you need to do your job. And yes... 37 vacation days. With flexible hours and remote work options, it's even better. Time to finally book that trip to Ibiza. Apply now and let's make it happen!
