A Food and Drink Manager is responsible for managing operations of all Food and Drink outlets to deliver an excellent Guest experience while training Team Members and working within budgeted guidelines.
What will I be doing?
As a Food and Drink Manager, you are responsible for managing operations of all Food and Drink outlets to deliver an excellent Guest experience on a luxury level. A Food and Drink Manager will also be required to manage, train, and develop Team Members across the entire department. In this role you are also responsible for Food and Beverage profitability and preparing/adhering to budgeted figures.
Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Manage all Food and Drink Outlet operations (Spectrum, Goldfinch, Peacock Alley, Vault Bar, In Room Dining, Minibar, and Banqueting)
Maintain exceptional levels of customer service in all outlets through continuous training and development of all Team Members
Recruit, manage, train and develop the Food and Drink team – directly responsible for the performance of this team
Directly manage guest queries, requests, and problems in a manner corresponding to hotel standards; represent hotel Food and Drink department appropriately to all guests
Work within budgeted guidelines in relation to Food, Drink and payroll
Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, budgets, and policies and procedures
Develop menus, concepts, and innovative guest experiences with other members of Food and Drink team in conjunction with Executive Office
Accountable for monthly stock takes and reporting
Incentivize team members to maximize sales and revenue; oversee incentive program and develop ways to increase results
Carry out annual and mid-year appraisals with Managers under your responsibility; assist with Personal Development Plans for all F&B Team Members to ensure proper growth, development, and succession planning
Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement, implement changes as needed
Ensure communication meetings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
Comply with Waldorf Brand Standards
Exhibit awareness and efforts relating to sustainability
Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships across the entire hotel
Exhibit flexibility and creativity in all Hotel Operations
Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
