Junior Backup & Cyber Recovery Engineer

Start your career in IT with impact as a Junior Backup & Cyber Recovery Engineer at NN. Based in The Hague, you will help protect the pensions and insurances of over 6 million customers at an international financial institution active in over 10 countries.

What you are going to do

With experienced colleagues, you ensure critical data can be recovered quickly and securely in the face of cyber threats. You will:

• Support the implementation and daily management of backup solutions and Cyber Recovery Vaults
• Help automate recurring tasks with tools such as PowerShell or Python
• Assist in cyber recovery simulations and disaster recovery tests
• Work closely with IT, cybersecurity and compliance colleagues on operational tasks
• Contribute to 24/7 support through ticket handling and standby shifts

Who you are

You are an IT starter with basic knowledge of backup or storage solutions. As a team player, you can communicate clearly. You also have:

• Familiarity with Azure, AWS or VMware and an eagerness to deepen your expertise
• The ability to script simple tasks in PowerShell or Python
• An eye for detail and accuracy
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
