We are looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to join the Strategy & Transformation Office of NN Group Finance. Based in The Hague, you will be the driving force in Communication and Engagement, and supporting key initiatives such as our Future Ready transformation program and the Finance Learning Academy. This is a standalone role that requires a self-starter mindset and quick hands-on delivery.
What you are going to do
As Internal Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the communication and engagement strategy, advice, and execution across Group Finance (~500 FTE). You will operate independently, while working closely with stakeholders at all levels, advising on messaging, tone, and channels. From transformation projects to learning initiatives, your work will ensure that our finance community is well-informed, aligned, and inspired. Your ability to navigate a changing environment with sensitivity and structure is therefore important.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and execute internal communication plans for Group Finance and its key strategic transformation programs
- Develop and coordinate communications around key milestones relevant to Group Finance, including bi-annual financial results and Annual Report publications
- Organise and support internal events such as Townhalls, Stand-Ups, and Quarterly Syncs, to help activate strategic messaging and encourage active participation
- Develop communication deliverables such as newsletters, dashboards, leadership messages, and speaker notes
- Collaborate closely with HR on internal communications related to employee engagement, performance cycles, as well as reorganisations
- Develop content for the Group Finance community SharePoint site, in close collaboration with all Group Finance teams
- Independently run communications for own initiatives such as the Finance Learning Academy and community engagement activities (e.g. Annual summer party)
- Serve as SPOC for Group Finance within the wider NN Group communications network, contributing to firm-wide initiatives such as Volunteering and Values weeks

Who you are
You bring a strong communications background, creative flair, and hands-on execution. You are flexible, culturally aware, and comfortable working independently in a complex, changing environment.
In addition to the above you:
- Have a university degree, preferably in Communications or a related field
- Bring a minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in internal communications, preferably in a corporate or financial environment
- Have excellent written and verbal skills in both Dutch and English
- Have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to advise at all levels
- Are digitally savvy and have the skills to generate structured and visually appealing communication materials within the Microsoft 365 suite, including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Viva Engage and Teams
- Bring a team-oriented and a 'can do' mindset, demonstrating that you are a self-starter that is able to get on with things without direct supervision
Who you will work with
You will be part of the Strategy & Transformation Office within Group Finance, working alongside programme and project managers who lead initiatives in areas such as Future Ready, Finance Transformation, Operational Excellence, M&A, and Core Platform redesign. The team supports the Group Finance MT with strategic advice and programme oversight. This is a diverse, international team where English is the working language.
