As Senior Web Analyst within our Global Digital department, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we use data to improve the customer journey, conversion performance, and digital experience across MediaMarkt and Saturn websites in all markets. Your will work at our Benelux HQ (Rotterdam / hybrid) and will be part of the Digital Commerce & Optimization, reporting to the VP Digital Commerce & Optimization.
You'll work across central and local teams to turn behavioral data into strategic insights and operational improvements - while also helping us challenge and mature our tracking infrastructure. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver a seamless, customer-centric, and high-converting digital experience at scale. Your key responsibilities are:
- Analyze site behavior, conversion flows, drop-off points, and customer friction zones using SST data, GA4, and experience analytics.
- Uncover insights that support product optimization, UX design, and performance marketing decis
- Create and present actionable storylines backed by data to Product, UX, Digital Sales, and CRM stakeholders.
- Assess the current state of web tracking - identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve event coverage and tagging logic across markets and journeys.
- Drive improvements in data accuracy, event structure, and tracking alignment in collaboration with development and product teams.
- Collaborate with Data & Analytics and local analysts to create a scalable and consistent measurement framework.
- Build and maintain intuitive, outcome-driven dashboards in Power BI and Looker Studio, integrating SST data, GA4, and experimentation results.
- Ensure visibility of key conversion, engagement, and commercial KPIs for product managers, growth teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Support performance tracking of key features, A/B tests, and campaign mechanics.
- Collaborate with product teams using Optimizely & Contentsquare to support test planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Ensure proper test design, clean data capture, and statistically sound conclusions to guide experimentation culture.
- Act as a senior analytics partner to central and country stakeholders, ensuring consistent KPI frameworks and data interpretation across markets.
- Share best practices, coach local (junior) analysts, and promote a culture of data-informed decision making.
- Stay ahead of digital analytics trends and bring in external inspiration to improve tooling and methodology.
Your Profile
To be successful in this job you need to have:
- 5+ years of experience in web or digital product analytics, ideally in a large-scale e-commerce or omnichannel setting.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI, GA4, Looker Studio, Contentsquare and Optimizely.
- Strong familiarity with working from SST data and integrating behavioral signals across tools.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce funnels, CX journeys, and digital business models.
- Ability to investigate tracking quality, articulate gaps, and work cross-functionally to improve data completeness.
- Comfortable communicating complex data to non-technical audiences with clear business impact.
- Experience in matrix organizations and/or multi-country environments preferred.
- SQL knowledge is a plus; strong English communication skills required
