Dit is jouw rol

Your work will span multiple projects across both consumer and customer domains - from designing APIs used by millions of PostNL app users, to integrating Kafka-based event streams into our internal systems and the order management platforms of our largest customers.

As an integration expert, you'll partner with product owners, developers, fellow Solution Consultants, and key stakeholders. You'll identify opportunities, assess risks, implement robust solutions, and communicate changes clearly to the user community.

You'll drive enhancements that delight customers and ensure existing functionality becomes faster, more cost-efficient, and more reliable. In this pivotal role, you'll bridge the gap between IT and business, enabling informed decisions to be made swiftly and effectively.

You'll join the Digital IT department as part of the #include team - a group dedicated to seamlessly integrating PostNL systems with both major commercial customers and internal development teams. Your work will span multiple platforms, including two API Management solutions and an Event Streaming platform powered by Apache Kafka.

The team operates in a fast-paced, digitally connected environment, embracing agile practices such as daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and iterative delivery. We value training, mentoring, and a diverse team culture, recognizing that these are essential to achieving outstanding results and fostering continuous growth.

You have a problem-solving and investigative mindset, strong organizational skills, and the ability to quickly understand and navigate both technical and business contexts. You feel comfortable communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and negotiating solutions with technical teams. Preferably, you have hands-on experience with integration technologies and architecture design.

You also recognize yourself in the following:

• You have a completed HBO or WO degree.
• You have 3-5 years of relevant experience and can independently lead projects.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure, integration or software engineering (backend preferred).
• Knowledge of, and preferably some hands-on experience with:
  • RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, API guidelines, authentication & authorization (such as OAuth 2.0, API keys). Experience with the Gravitee platform and GraphQL is a plus.
  • Event Streaming concepts and Apache Kafka or similar (topics, schemas, producers/consumers).
  • Cloud services and tools, such as AWS and Splunk.
• You speak and write Dutch (minimum B2 level) and English well.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum or SAFe is a plus.
