Job Description
As Head of Biologics and Developmental Drugs you lead a team of Scientists and Analytical Validation Managers, who are responsible for the development, transfer and validation of new methods to our facility. This is coordinated together with a dedicated lab team who do the experiments for the different experimental setups. The lab team is under supervision of a Team Leader, with whom you would need to cooperate with on a daily basis.
The responsibilities consist of:
- Leading the department of biologics and developmental drugs;
- Control all projects regarding biologics and developmental products;
- Develop methodologies and opportunities for future work in collaboration with business unit manager and business development;
- Setting up projects in collaboration with business development and other business units;
- Arrange technical input for new quotations;
- Managing the budget and project pipeline of the department;
- Approval of protocols, reports, exceptions and deviations;
- Collaborate with laboratory Team Leader on a daily basis;
- First point of contact for the department in case of issues.
Qualifications
- PhD, MSc, or a BSc degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or organic chemistry;
- 5+ years of relevant working experience;
- Experience in a leadership position or extensive project lead experience;
- Working experience in development and validation of analytical methods;
- Experience in a (preferably) GMP or otherwise GLP environment;
- Independent, thorough and able to perform under pressure;
- Good command of the English language, and at least a basic understanding of Dutch
- You are located in the Netherlands, or you are planning to relocate to the Netherlands and are in possession of a valid working permit.
