Job Overview
Fremantle is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manager Distribution Asia to join our International team based in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth through the licensing and distribution of content to broadcasters, digital platforms, and syndication partners across Asia. Your mission is to match compelling content with the right buyers, negotiating commercially successful deals while nurturing long-term client relationships.
You will represent a diverse portfolio of content (scripted and non-scripted), ensuring it reaches the widest possible audience. Your understanding of global and regional content trends, buyer preferences, and media consumption patterns will inform your go-to-market strategies and enable you to secure strategic partnerships.
The ideal candidate is commercially savvy, results-driven, and thrives in fast-paced, international environments. You are passionate about storytelling, have a deep understanding of media rights, and excel at building trust with clients and collaborators alike.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage, develop and grow the licensing of Fremantle's content (finished programmes, formats, digital, FAST) across Asia.
- Explore and develop sales opportunities and strategies that will create new revenue streams or bolster existing ones.
- Actively nurture and grow Fremantle's client relationships in the region.
- Achieve and exceed Fremantle's sales budgets across key business lines.
- Evaluate new content for distribution and submit sales forecasts to the Global Content team in coordination with the line manager.
- Work closely with other FM divisions like Global Entertainment Production to ensure excellent internal relationships and best possible results for the FM Group as a whole.
- Attend all relevant trade markets and make appropriate sales trips.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Degree qualified with a minimum 6 years' experience in content sales and distribution. Experience in Production is an advantage.
- Commercial, entrepreneurial and results-driven, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and maximizing revenue.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and motivated self-starter who possesses a highly proactive approach to business, by going beyond traditional reactive selling and actively seek ways to generate leads and identify unmet needs.
- A solutions-oriented mindset who focuses on creating value for clients and FM to move deals forward and resolve sales challenges in a timely manner.
- A solid team-player that can work well within a close Asia sales team and wider company teams and executives in London and other Fremantle offices worldwide.
- Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Demonstrable experience of reacting creatively to change, trends and evolving technologies.
- Outstanding cultural awareness skills and understanding of the media landscape across the relevant markets.
