In our team, we believe in clear ownership & responsibility. The Data Scientist role within our Data & Analytics team includes the following key responsibilities:
- Analyze large and complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights;
- Develop and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms;
- Perform statistical analyses to support business decision-making;
- Create compelling data visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. Develop dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Present data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences;
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs, provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization;
- Support data analysts and data engineers with accelerating their projects by using advanced data solutions;
- Manage data science projects from inception to completion. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and ensure timely delivery of qualitative data solutions within the organization;
- Act as a data consultant to various departments, providing expert advice on data-related issues. Assist in the interpretation of data and the formulation of actionable recommendations;
- Facilitate data-driven decision-making by providing clear and concise insights;
- Train and mentor team members and stakeholders on data literacy and best practices. Develop and deliver workshops, training sessions, and resources to improve data literacy across the organization. Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making by enhancing the data literacy of all employees. Provide guidance on how to interpret and use data effectively in their roles;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Experiment with new tools, techniques, and methodologies to improve data analysis processes. Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for data science within the organization;
- Design and implement cloud-based data solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Optimize Google Cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and scalability. Ensure data security and compliance within Google Cloud environments. Leverage Google Cloud-native tools and services to enhance data processing and storage capabilities;
Who are you?
You are passionate about turning data into actionable insights that drive business growth. You dream of using advanced analytics to transform the customer experience and you're a natural Data Scientist that helps us redefining how we understand and serve our customers by delivering prototypes and showing the true value of data in corporate processes. Furthermore you have the following profile:
- Master's degree in Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other relevant areas;
- 3-5 years work experience as Data Scientist;
- English (must have), Dutch (important nice to have);
- Experience with Python and SQL a must;
- Experience with PowerBI / Tableau (nice to have);
- Experience with GCP / Google BigQuery (nice to have);
- Experience project management for data solutions (must have);
- Experience explaining statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and (senior) leadership (must have);
- Proactive, goal oriented and Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to effectively collaborate and mediate between teams to achieve common goals.
