About the job
As Senior Commercial Controller you are the financial backbone of our Service & Solutions department. You provide clear insights into commercial performance, develop strategic management information, and help shape initiatives that strengthen and grow our service portfolio. You will report to the Manager Commercial Control and work closely with the leaders responsible for our service and solutions propositions - including after-sales services, installations, subscriptions, warranty and repair solutions, and more.
- Prepare, analyze, and report financial results for all Service & Solutions activities, including monthly closing, forecasting, and performance trend analysis.
- Monitor and interpret key KPIs for service and solutions (margins, cost-to-serve, uptime, customer satisfaction, retention, etc.) and advise management on improvement opportunities.
- Oversee financial control and administrative processes related to service contracts, after-sales execution, claims handling, and profitability tracking.
- Manage budgets and forecasts; develop and evaluate business cases for new service or subscription models.
- Lead and support ad-hoc projects aimed at improving efficiency, quality, or profitability (e.g., automation, process digitalization, SLA optimization).
- Act as a key financial partner for Operations, Customer Service, Product Management, and Sales, translating business strategies into actionable financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with internal reporting standards and contribute to strategic decision-making at management level.
Your Profile
- A higher education (HBO/WO) degree in Finance, Business Economics, Controlling, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable controlling role, preferably within a services, after-sales, or subscription-based business.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfortable working with complex models, data, and performance metrics.
- Experienced in forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI or data visualization tools is a plus.
- A proactive business partner with excellent communication skills, able to bridge the gap between finance and operations.
- Accurate, self?'driven, and results?'oriented, thriving in a dynamic and fast?'paced environment.
- Fluent in English (Dutch is an advantage).
