Global Credit Data promotes the quality, the standardization and the transparency of data, thereby improving these Banks’ ability to actively manage the credit risk of their portfolios. Through its Methodology Committee and the active participation of its Member Banks, Global Credit Data provides an international forum for exploring the intricacies of credit risk management and sharing of best practice. The Role:The role involves a broad responsibility encompassing almost everything to do with the input, templates, standards, data quality, output and use of the credit data which is at the heart of Global Credit Data (GCD). The successful applicant is expected to become an expert on the GCD data models and to forge a strong working relationship with member banks at operational level and to be a part of the global Operations and Member support teams. The work will be performed in liaison with the Executive Director, the Operations Manager, the Operations Executives, and also with the Methodology Committee and other working groups in accordance with the rules and procedures of GCD.Link between Member Banks, data agent helpdesk and Methodology Committee i.e. a dedicated line of support for members delivering dataSupport and demonstrate the use of GCD data by member banks, including training of member staff, presentations, visits, etc.Perform data quality investigations, extractions and basic analysis on the data as requested by the Executive Director, Operations Manager or working groupsParticipate with the Data Operations team in controlling data quality standards, through monitoring and analysing all contractual reports generated by the Data Agent to the banks (Data Aggregation) as well as creating Data Audits on data submitted by Member BanksCreate and document specifications – e.g. new fields, validation rules, calculations, aggregation rules – and perform testingHelp new member banks to get their data in shapeHelp new member banks to understand the data entry portalProvide support to Members during the Data Collection CyclesProvide general Member Support and answering queries from Member BanksSupport the Methodology Committee and some working groups by organizing meetings, taking minutes and carrying out occasional analyses, surveys and extractionsAdministration of access rights and documentation for the web siteOrganisation of and participation in GCD ConferencesExperience Required:The successful candidate would have the following characteristics:Knowledge of and experience with basic credit and Basel II mattersKnowledge of and experience with the GCD LGD database would be an advantageStrong database skillsStrong Excel and SAS skillsAbility to write SAS queriesFluent written and spoken EnglishAnalytical ability is likely to be evidenced by an appropriate university degreeService mindedHigh attention to detailHelpful and positive attitudeWillingness and ability to travel to our members premises throughout EuropeAcceptable presentation skillsSelf-motivated and with flexible working-hoursAbility to communicate in other languages, e.g. French or Spanish, would be an advantagePlease apply to Riëtte Dijkstra, Manager Data Operations– Klik op de solliciteer-button om te solliciteren –
