Thank you for your understanding. Basic Function of Position Responsible for assisting the Facility/Post Occupational Safety and Health Officer (POSHO) in carrying out the day-to-day functions of the Safety, Health and Environmental Management (SHEM) and Fire Protection Division (FIR) programs at Post as required. Assures that all government-owned and government-leased properties meet the relevant requirements. Main duties are: - Schedules and performs required safety, health, and fire inspections on all USG facilities.- Develops and provides safety training in conjunction with SHEM and FIR requirements for supervisors and employees in accordance with applicable requirements and ensures that employees are familiar with safety rules and procedures for performing their jobs in a safe manner.- Assists in conduction of investigations under the direction of POSHO for all relevant mishaps involving fires, injuries, illnesses, motor vehicle accidents, property loss, and employee suggestions. - Maintains and updates office files. - Ensures that all management and administrative policies and operations at post conform an are consistent with relevant program responsibilities. Qualifications Required Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Education: Must have two-year post-secondary Degree with a focus on Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Safety or Facility Management.2. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial hygiene, occupational safety, or facility management, with two of those five years to include supervisory experience.3. Language Requirements: Speaking/reading/writing: Level IV (fluent) English and Dutch are required. Will be required make informal translations of local technical information and documents into English for the Facility Manager.4. Job Knowledge: Must have thorough understanding of occupational safety, health, and environmental management strategies and procedures.
