Purpose Of the Role:
To handle and ensure the smooth and efficient running of the sea and air freight department.
Ensure that international deliveries/collections and transport are affected without undue delay.
Tasks
- Arranging Import & Export deliveries/collections and monitor transportation within Air & Sea
- Raising documentation necessary for international transport
- Checking import/export shipping documentation
- Arranging Customs clearance
- Invoicing and processing suppliers’ invoices promptly
- Processing quotations when required – ad hoc and using tariffs
- Negotiating transport and handling costs
- Updating tracking systems
- Liaison with third parties to move goods by air/sea in accordance with customer requirements
- Daily communication with overseas offices
- Provision of efficient and high-quality customer service
- Dealing with queries and issues within internal & external clients
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Excellent communication skills – with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent IT skills
- Excellent standard of customer service
- Solid time management
- Highly adaptable
- Confident and approachable
- Experience of working in Air and Sea Environment
- Geographical Knowledge
- Previous Import/Export experience
