Tasks
- Design, implement, and maintain Check Point firewall solutions in complex enterprise environments
- Act as a Technical Lead for Check Point security platforms (on-prem, hybrid, and data center environments)
- Perform firewall policy design, optimization, and rule base cleanup to ensure security and performance
- Lead firewall migrations, upgrades, and consolidations (legacy to Check Point, version upgrades)
- Configure and manage Check Point security blades (Firewall, VPN, IPS, Application Control, Threat Prevention)
- Troubleshoot complex network and security incidents across global infrastructures
- Ensure compliance with security standards, best practices, and audit requirements
- Collaborate with network, cloud, and security teams to design end-to-end secure connectivity
- Provide technical consulting, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams and stakeholders
- Act as an escalation point for Check Point-related topics
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Check Point firewalls
- Deep expertise in Check Point products, including Security Gateways & Management (SmartConsole), Firewall, NAT, and Access Control policies, VPN technologies (Site‑to‑Site, Remote Access) and Threat Prevention (IPS, Anti‑Bot, Anti‑Virus, Application Control)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS)
- Experience with firewall migrations and large rule bases
- Strong troubleshooting skills across network, firewall, and VPN layers
- Experience in high‑availability (HA) and multi‑site firewall architectures
- Familiarity with change management and ITIL processes
- Check Point certifications (e.g. CCSA, CCSE) are highly desirable
- Experience working in enterprise or global environments
