Tasks
- Manage strategic and operational procurement of materials, components, and services for the automotive industry
- Develop and implement commodity and supplier strategies aligned with business objectives
- Conduct make-or-buy decisions and perform cost analyses, including TCO and should-costing
- Identify and implement cost-saving and value-improvement initiatives
- Request, evaluate and negotiate quotations and contracts covering pricing, quality and delivery conditions
- Ensure cost-efficient, high-quality, and on-time supply while maintaining supply security
- Select, evaluate, develop and manage suppliers in series production and project business
- Conduct supplier audits, performance reviews and manage escalations related to quality, delivery, or cost
- Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, production, logistics, and international project teams
- Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, sustainability requirements and supply chain due diligence, while maintaining proper documentation and reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in procurement within the automotive industry
- Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification; alternatively, a relevant commercial or technical apprenticeship
- Solid knowledge of automotive procurement processes, including series production and project business
- Strong expertise in supplier contracts and price negotiations
- Experience working with ERP systems, such as SAP MM, and proficient use of MS Office
- Confident handling of Windows 10, Microsoft Office 365, and MS Teams
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and implement process flows
- High level of personal responsibility, initiative, structured working style, and reliability
- Very good command of German (at least B2 level)
