Tasks
- Administer, configure, and optimize the Commvault platform including CommServe, Media Agents, Index Servers, and Command Center.
- Design and implement scalable backup and recovery solutions across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Perform backup & restore operations for Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper‑V, SQL Server, Oracle, and other enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex backup/restore issues using advanced Commvault logs and diagnostic tools.
- Manage and optimize deduplication, storage policies, indexing, auxiliary copy workflows, and Cloud Library integrations.
- Maintain and upgrade Commvault components, ensuring minimal downtime and full compliance with internal standards.
- Configure and support SAN/NAS storage, cloud object storage, and tape infrastructures.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python, including reporting, maintenance, and monitoring workflows.
- Implement security best practices such as encryption, RBAC, multi‑factor access, immutable storage.
- Monitor system performance, prepare capacity forecasts, and develop custom reports for stakeholders.
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years hands-on experience with Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in:
- Storage Policies, Subclients, Schedules, Performance Tuning
- Deduplication Database (DDB) maintenance and troubleshooting
- VMware VADP backups, Hyper-V, and virtualized environments
- Cloud storage (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
- Enterprise storage systems (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, etc.)
- Strong Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration skills.
- Good understanding of networking (firewalls, ports, proxies, DNS, routing).
- Proficiency with scripting languages: PowerShell (strongly preferred), Bash and/or Python
- Experience with HA & DR technologies such as CommServe LiveSync, High Availability and Failover scenarios
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

- Start: by arrangement - always on the 1st and 15th of the month
- Working hours: full-time (40h); 27 vacation days
