Position overview
Independently manage warranty and lemon law pre-litigation and litigation matters, arbitration claims, and subrogation claims. Serve as corporate representative in a variety of legal matters, including trials, mediations, arbitration hearings and depositions. Research, analyze, and evaluate evidence for lawsuits, interact with third parties and participate in negotiation and dispute resolution.
Roles & responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
- Manage warranty litigation and pre-litigation matters; including, working with outside counsel through the length of the case, aiding in reviewing pleadings, motions, discovery responses, helping develop effective defense strategies, and negotiating with opposing counsel.
- Evaluate pre-litigation cases and negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to resolve pre-litigation warranty matters
- Collaborate with Porsche dealerships to complete final repair attempts, obtain necessary information and documentation to evaluate and resolve breach of warranty matters
- Represent PCNA in litigation: in court, arbitration, mediation, depositions and trials throughout the United States
- Manage subrogation and arbitration warranty matters: Negotiate settlements; Manage all inquiries from state agencies overseeing arbitration regulations and consumer protection laws; and Evaluate arbitration claims to determine proper settlement decisions based on state lemon law
Qualifications
Education:
- Four-year degree; paralegal certification from ABA approved program
Experience:
- 8 plus years litigation experience, automotive industry a plus
Skills:
- Substantive legal knowledge and understanding of warranty and lemon laws

Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
