IoT Platform Shopfloor Connectivity - Senior Consultant (f/m/d)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to deploy, develop, and customize gateway solution platform for automotive electrical power cell providers. This role requires expertise in industrial IoT solutions, cloud architecture, and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement custom gateway solutions for diverse automotive power cell manufacturing environments
• Perform technical integration project activities combining edge computing, cloud services, and industrial communication protocols
• Develop and maintain automation / simulation scripts for deployment and configuration management
• Configure and optimize message translation services between different data formats
• Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical IoT platforms
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions
• Provide technical consulting advice to the customer in alignment with requirements

Technical Requirements

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in industrial IoT platforms and system integration
• Strong expertise in container orchestration and DevOps tools:
  • Docker and Kubernetes for containerization
  • Ansible for automation and configuration management
  • OpenShift for container platform management
  • Technologys for continuous integration/deployment
• Proficient in multiple programming languages:
  • JavaScript for frontend and Node.js automation/simulation
  • Python for automation/simulation and backend services
  • Typescript (would be a plus)
• Deep understanding of:
  • MQTT protocol and broker systems
  • Message format translation (JSON/XML)
  • RESTful APIs and web services
  • Network (firewalls, proxys, certificates etc.)

Cloud Platforms

• Experience with one of the following cloud architectures, with a focus on device connectivity management:
  • Azure Cloud services
  • AWS Cloud platform
  • On-premises deployment solutions

Industry Knowledge

• Experience in manufacturing shopfloor connectivity environments. Experience in automotive manufacturing or power cell production environments is a plus.
• Understanding of industrial automation and Industry 4.0 concepts
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and standards

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field
• Relevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) are a plus
• Container orchestration certifications (CKA, OpenShift) are a plus
• Strong client communication skills
