Senior Finance Accountant (m/f/d)

The Closing & Reporting Department within the Accounting, Tax & Treasury Function is responsible for Allianz Technology’s closing and reporting processes. Additionally to these tasks global processes as provisions, asset management, deferrals, FX and intercompany eliminations are designed and coordinated. As a member of the team you already have a sound knowledge of accounting under IFRS, HGB. You also should have experience in the field of accounting of end-to-end processes.

In your job you will coordinate, support and perform closing activates, including liaison with key departments and our Regional Finance Officers of Allianz Technology’s branches and subsidiaries. You will drive the development and implementation of new processes and controls as well as provide sound technical advice on multiple GAAP accounting.

As the Allianz Technology segment and its business is growing continuously you will be challenged to find solutions gaining more efficiency within and outside of your team. In doing so you will have to work with different comprehensive Allianz teams, use best practice solutions and jump in when everyone is needed. Hence you should have the ability to quickly find solutions on different issues given so that you can support all Allianz Technology entities. We will give you the opportunity to work on different projects and processes in an international environment as well as to share your experiences and out of the box problem solving.

  • Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles and with the accounting framework defined by the Finance & Tax Experts
  • Active contribution to our wide range of projects and initiatives driven by the Accounting, Tax & Treasury Function
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Support the Head of Closing and Reporting in digitalization, simplification and automation activities
  • Active contribution to closing mainly through:
    - Steering of the closing process of multiple entities across several regions worldwide
    - Planning, analyzing and execution of dedicated closing activities within area of responsibility
    - Coordination and collaboration with internal and external auditors
  • Higher education degree in finance, tax, business administration or economics
  • Strong knowledge of accounting in accordance to IFRS and HGB and End-to-End processes
  • Excellent English and German language skills
  • Proven record of minimum of 3 years of work experience in accounting/controlling function of a multinational company, consulting or audit firm
  • Sound knowledge of SAP-FI and SAP-CO as well as very good knowledge of MS EXCEL, VBA is a plus
  • Ability to carry out tasks independently in non-standardized (ever-changing) work situations
  • Problem solving skills based on practice and precedent as well as ability to analyze factual information
