How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Operations

    National role (Midlands base preferred)


    We are looking for an experienced and driven Head of Operations to lead delivery across a high-profile national portfolio.


    This is a critical leadership role, acting as the number two to the Account Director, where you’ll play a key part in stabilising performance, strengthening client relationships, and driving meaningful operational improvement across multiple sites.


    This is a role for a proven operator — someone who can step into a complex environment, take ownership, and deliver change.


    The Role

    You’ll lead operational delivery across an integrated FM contract, ensuring high performance across both hard and soft service lines.


    Key responsibilities include:

    • Leading multi-site delivery across a national IFM portfolio
    • Managing and developing senior operational leaders and regional teams
    • Overseeing hard services, soft services (cleaning, catering, security) and subcontractor performance
    • Driving operational consistency, compliance, and service excellence
    • Playing a central role in improving team culture, engagement, and stability
    • Acting as a senior point of contact for the client, building trust and credibility


    What We’re Looking For:

    Experience & Background

    • Strong Facilities Management (IFM) background at a senior level
    • Experience delivering across multiple service lines (hard and soft FM essential)
    • Proven track record managing complex, multi-site portfolios
    • Experience in subcontractor and supply chain management

    Leadership

    • Experience managing managers and senior leaders, not just frontline teams
    • Evidence of leading transformation, turnaround, or cultural change
    • Ready to operate at a senior level and progress towards Account Director

    Client Engagement

    • Highly credible and confident with senior stakeholders
    • Strong relationship builder with the ability to rebuild trust and influence
    • Visible, proactive, and delivery-focused
