Contract Information Governance Lead
Contract: 6 Months
Rate: Up to £800 per day

A major public sector transformation programme is seeking an experienced Information Governance Lead to oversee governance, privacy, and security requirements across a large-scale data initiative.
This is a senior leadership role operating within a complex multi-stakeholder environment, helping ensure that governance and compliance requirements are defined clearly, aligned across teams, and delivered in time to support safe live deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Information Governance workstream within a large-scale data programme
- Define and coordinate privacy, security, and governance requirements with stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Translate legal, regulatory, and governance obligations into practical operational and technical requirements
- Shape functional and non-functional requirements, including standards influencing IAM and wider security architecture
- Support safe and compliant data-sharing approaches across complex organisational boundaries
- Provide governance leadership across delivery, architecture, legal, security, and operational teams
Required
- Strong Information Governance leadership experience within large, complex programmes
- Proven experience working in multi-stakeholder data-sharing environments
- Strong understanding of privacy, security, and governance frameworks
- Ability to communicate complex legal and regulatory requirements in a practical and delivery-focused way
- Experience influencing governance and security standards within enterprise-scale programmes
- Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-profile public sector environments
