How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    AVP, Business Development - EMEA

OTC Markets Group Inc., operator of premier U.S. Financial markets for over 12,000 domestic and global companies, is seeking an AVP, Business Development - EMEA to be a high-impact part of growth, building the pipeline of EMEA companies that want to access U.S. Capital markets through our OTCQX, OTCQB, and OTCIQ platforms.

Reporting directly to the VP, Head of Corporate Services - EMEA, this role focuses on driving top-of-funnel pipeline activity for the region including high-volume outbound outreach, qualification, and early-cycle engagement that supports the team in growing the EMEA region. You will often be the first voice of OTC Markets with prospective issuers across the region, running targeted outbound outreach and conducting discovery conversations.

This is a role for someone energized by outbound prospecting, comfortable engaging with the C-suite, and excited to help build OTC Markets' presence across one of the most important capital-markets regions in the world.

OTC Markets operates in a hybrid work environment (at minimum three days in office). This position is in our London, UK office. We do not offer relocation for this role.

We invest heavily in employee satisfaction and offer all our employees a highly competitive compensation package. As a dynamic, growing company that fosters an open culture, we emphasize individual responsibility, innovation, and self-discipline.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting - calls, emails, digital outreach, partner referrals, and self-sourced research - in support of the EMEA pipeline.
    • Build and maintain a consistent, qualified pipeline of prospective issuers interested in joining our OTCQX, OTCQB, and OTCIQ markets.
    • Engage in initial consultative discussions to deepen and broaden strategic relationships within the client at the “C” suite level, IR and key influencers.
    • Partner with VP, Head of Corporate Services - EMEA on qualified opportunities to maintain targeted revenue and profitability.
    • Develop an intimate understanding of the client’s business, objectives and competitors to better consult and provide solutions.
    • Educate prospects on OTC Markets’ market tiers, disclosure standards, trading regulations, and the benefits of trading on our platforms.
    • Support the team with research, meeting preparation, briefing materials, and follow-up on active opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date prospecting activity and pipeline data within Salesforce to support reporting and business development efforts.
    • Represent OTC Markets at regional events, conferences, and partner forums to build awareness and generate inbound interest.
    • Develop subject-matter expertise on OTC Markets’ products, EMEA capital markets, cross-border listing dynamics, and U.S. Trading regulations. Full training is provided, but a high level of curiosity and initiative for self-directed learning is essential.
    • Additional responsibilities, as assigned.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in financial sales, business development, investor relations, or financial services, with at least two (2) years in a high-volume outbound or lead-generation capacity.
    • Strong written and verbal communication; self-starter with excellent time management, organization, and prospecting skills.
    • Resilient, positive, and solutions-oriented, with a collaborative, team-focused approach in support of the Regional Head and the broader Corporate Services team.
    • Cultural sophistication and global acumen; understanding of European business norms; additional European language capability is a plus.
    • Genuine interest in financial markets and a commitment to continuous learning.
    • Comfortable with high-volume outreach via calls, emails, virtual meetings, and in-person events.
    • Ability to travel within EMEA, as needed.

Our Core Values are incorporated in each aspect of our Company. We encourage autonomy, professionally passionate discussions of opposing viewpoints, creativity and transparency. We are Open, Transparent, and Connected. Come as you are and just be you. We are an equal opportunity and E-verify employer and prohibit discrimination and harassment of any kind.
