How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electronics Engineer
    West London
    On Site Role
    £55,000-£65,000

We are currently partnering with an innovative deep-tech hardware company developing next-generation data storage technology. Following recent investment and continued technical success, the business is now scaling significantly and expanding its engineering teams across multiple disciplines.

The company is developing highly advanced storage systems focused on long-life, energy-efficient, and resilient infrastructure solutions designed to meet the increasing demands of modern data environments. As part of this growth, they are now looking to hire an Electronics Engineer to support the continued development of complex PCB-based hardware systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electronics Engineer who enjoys working across the full hardware lifecycle — from schematic capture and PCB design through to bring-up, debugging, validation, and manufacturing support. You will join a highly collaborative R&D team working on cutting-edge electromechanical and electronic systems in a fast-paced environment. The role will involve hands-on lab work, PCB development, validation testing, and close collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support the transition from prototype hardware into manufacturable products.

The role is based in West London and requires onsite working 5 days per week.

    Key Responsibilities

Develop and update PCB schematics for subsystem electronics.
Support PCB layout activities directly or alongside layout engineers.
Select components with consideration for performance, availability, cost, and manufacturability.
Bring up, debug, and validate PCB assemblies using lab equipment and structured testing methods.
Work across analog, digital, sensor interface, motor driver, and power electronics systems.
Prepare fabrication and assembly documentation for prototype and production builds.
Support EMC, reliability, and validation testing activities.
Investigate and resolve PCB assembly and manufacturing-related issues with suppliers and partners.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering and technical teams.
    Experience Required

Minimum of 2 years’ industry experience developing PCB-based electronic hardware.
Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related subject.
Strong experience with schematic capture and PCB design.
Hands-on experience bringing up and debugging PCB assemblies in the lab.
Understanding of analog and digital electronics design.
Experience using PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or similar.
Knowledge of high-speed PCB layout considerations including signal integrity and controlled impedance.
Experience with sensor interfaces, control electronics, or motor driver systems.
Exposure to power electronics and mixed-signal hardware design.
Experience preparing fabrication and assembly packs for manufacturing.
    Bonus Skills

Experience working with PCB manufacturers or assembly partners.
Exposure to production test, test fixture design, or DFT considerations.
Experience supporting component sourcing, substitutions or lifecycle management.
Benefits: Bonus, 25 days Holiday, Pension, Cycle to Work Scheme.

If this role sounds of interest, please apply and I can give you a call.
