How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An excellent opportunity for an experienced Audio Service Engineer to join a well-established company.

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

    Salary: £28,250 - £34,000 Per Annum, DOE + Performance Based Bonus.

    Location: Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

    About The Company:

    The Company are a leading provider of professional audio repair and maintenance in the UK. They are the exclusive UK repair centre for high quality professional audio equipment including RCF Spa, Nexo SA and EAW. They are currently seeking a skilled Audio Service Engineer to join their technical team in Potters Bar. This is a critical role requiring a mix of traditional electronics expertise and modern networking knowledge. Additional training will be provided where necessary.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair a diverse range of professional audio equipment, including mixers, amplifiers, microphones, audio networking products and speakers

    * Component-Level Work: Perform precision soldering and re-work on through hole and SMD boards (SOT-23, 1206, SOIC, and smaller)

    * Technical Support: Provide high-level technical assistance to customers via phone and email

    * Quality Control: Maintain rigorous standards of accuracy and efficiency for all repairs

    * Technology Updates: Stay current with evolving audio technologies and manufacturer-specific software

    Candidate Requirements:

    * Electronics Expertise: Strong practical understanding of circuit diagrams and electronic components

    * Soldering Proficiency: Proven experience with fine-pitch SMD soldering and rework

    * Software & Networking: Strong proficiency in MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android. Experience with Dante networking and CRM software is highly desirable

    * Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex, non-routine technical issues

    * Qualifications: A degree or certification in electronics engineering or a related technical field

    * Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for both client interaction and internal collaboration
