An excellent independent senior school in Potters Bar is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Biology to join its successful Science Department from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Biology specialist to teach highly motivated pupils in a school known for its strong academic standards, small class sizes, and supportive learning environment. The Role
The successful candidate will:
Teach Biology across Key Stages 3-5, with a strong focus on A Level Biology
Inspire curiosity, confidence, and academic ambition in pupils
Contribute to the continued success and development of the Science Department
Support the wider life of the school through pastoral and co-curricular involvement
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
A strong academic background in Biology or a related subject
Experience teaching Biology to A Level standard
Excellent subject knowledge and classroom practice
A genuine enthusiasm for independent education and high academic expectations
The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents
