How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Company:
This growing high-technology manufacturer is a recognised innovator within advanced electronics and communications technology. Operating from a cutting-edge manufacturing facility, the company designs and manufactures highly specialised RF and microwave solutions used in critical global infrastructure applications.

With major investment in technology, automation, and engineering capability, the business offers excellent opportunities for an ambitious NPI Engineer to join a collaborative environment focused on innovation, quality, and long-term growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced manufacturing projects while developing specialist expertise within semiconductor and RF technologies.

    Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Engineer to join a fast-growing advanced manufacturing organisation in Sedgefield. The Product Engineer will lead the introduction of new RF and microwave products from development and prototype stages into stable, scalable production.

The successful Product Engineer will work closely with RF design, manufacturing, quality, mechanical, and test engineering teams to ensure products are fully prepared for volume manufacture. The Product Engineer will coordinate pilot builds, drive manufacturing readiness activities, and support process validation across a range of advanced electronics technologies.

Key responsibilities include managing NPI plans, supporting DFM/DFA reviews, developing process documentation, defining tooling and fixturing requirements, and improving manufacturing efficiency through structured problem-solving methodologies. The NPI Engineer will also analyse production data, support production ramp-up activities, and lead root cause investigations to improve yield and product reliability.

This role would suit a hands-on Product Engineer with experience in high-precision manufacturing environments such as electronics, semiconductor, automotive, or power electronics industries. The company is particularly interested in individuals with strong industrialisation and process improvement experience gained within highly regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments.

The Product Engineer will have the opportunity to work within a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility while contributing to the growth of advanced UK manufacturing capability and next-generation communications technology.

    * Experience working with technical or sub assembly products.

    * Experience transitioning products from prototype or development stages into production.

    * Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles and manufacturing readiness processes.

    * Experience within high-precision manufacturing sectors such as electronics, automotive, semiconductor, or power electronics.

    * Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
