As a Senior Business Analyst Data Modeller you are part of the Operational Data Store team (ODS). Within the ODS team your are responsible for creating data models. These models are used in development to extract data from multiple worldwide core banking systems to the ODS of the Wholesale & Rural division of the bank. You are also responsible for further distribution of our data. Either towards other data lakes, via API connections or directly for reporting solutions in PowerBI.
As the ODS is key in the strategic solution of our Core Banking journey within Rabobank Wholesale and Rural, your space of impact and field of stakeholders are across the globe.
You and your job
We need your help as a key player to understand, translate and model data from applications in Rabobank's global architectural landscape into our Operational Data Store. Your job lies in the structuring of requirements for the development team so that they are enabled to work on the right things, to make our data consumers happy now and in the future.
Practical examples
- Collaborate with other Tech squads across Rabobank to understand their
produced data; - Create and update data models how data needs to be mapped to attributes in
the ODS; - Collect, analyse, document and formalize data products and services;
- Resolve requirements related impediments together with the DevOps team and consumers;
- Coordinate from our role as datastore with data consumers on our API and reporting solutions.

- Organize conversations with data producers to analyse, structure and document data requirements to be modelled in the ODS;
- Closely collaborate with the product owner and team to translate requirements into Product Backlog Items;
- Align with data consumers for their needs to get data out of the ODS
- Assess data consuming requirements versus the performance of the ODS.

You and your talent
- You have at least 5 years of experience as a dedicated Business Analyst in a large scale IT environment;
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a role of data analyst, data modeler or equal position;
- You are able to translate information from a relational database management system into a document based data store;
- You preferably have an understanding of databases and can query data using Java, NoSQL and SQL;
- You have experience with, or are willing to learn about API design,
- You are a real team player, being pro-active and suggestive on team improvements;
- You have the social and technical skills to figure out the question behind the question;
- You preferably have experience within the banking domain or financial services;
- You can communicate in English and preferably in Dutch, fluently speaking and writing skills.

- Up to a yearly salary of € 95.000,- gross salary per year including all benefits. (for 40 hours) depending level of experience.
- Hybrid way of working (Utrecht and Home office);
- A thirteenth month and a 8% holiday pay;
- An Employee Benefit Budget (10-11% of your monthly income). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out;
- 100 % reimbursement of the costs of home/work travel if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a home/work travel allowance;
- € 1.400,- learning budget per year;
- A pension scheme where you contribute only 3,5%.
