And as the supervisor, you are responsible for the restaurant, the Lobby & Lounge Bar, and the roomservice, together with our international team here in our big hotel.

Be limitlessDuring your shift you make sure that everything runs smoothly. If a waiter cannot solve a complain, you jump in to help. You check that the orders are correct, and the employees are well supervised and trained, as you are not always on the floor. Together with the whole team, you make sure that everything is going according to plan and at the end you hand the shift over neatly to the colleagues taking over. This way the colleagues are up to date. Moreover, you are responsible for administrative tasks, such as processign and checking payments, and carrying out two annual staff evaluations, together with the (assistant) Restaurant & Bar Manager.No limits to your abilities! In addition, you are:
- responsible for welcoming the guests, and making sure they feel hospitable with our food and beverage options. Good service is our number 1 priority;
- providing correct information about the drinks and dishes, and serve them appropriately;.
- Involved in complex questions, complaints or feedback from our guests;
- Responsible for supervising and training the employees;
- Making drinks and taking orders, while making small conversation with our guests;
- Preparing the restaurant for the dinner or cleaning up after breakfast;
- Refilling the drinks in the bar, so all drinks are available.

You start every working day together with twenty national and international colleagues in our beautiful 4-star hotel located in Amsterdam. The team consists of young colleagues who are collegial and friendly towards each other. Despite the different nationalities, we can definitely speak of a close group of colleagues. You will work in a hotel that works together with the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, a total combined conference space of over 1900 m2, including 11 modern and spacious conference and directors' rooms. Through the emergence of ijVENUES, Amsterdam's new exhibition centre, everything only becomes bigger and better. On a lovely, sunny day, you can choose between a 10-minute walk or a 5-minute cycle ride from the central station. Or you can hop on the tram from the other side of our hotel.

Through your great feeling of responsibility, you know exactly what your team needs to do their job well. Even during busy moments you keep your head cool. With your empathy, you ensure that guests have a great time and the employees serve the guests well.You have:
- The appropriate food & beverage knowledge, such as wine and coctails knowledge;
- Minimum 3 years of experience as restaurant & bar waiter in a hotel;
- Fluent written and spoken knowledge of the English language and preferably the Dutch language as well.

That is why we are offering:
- a monthly gross salary of between €2.052 and €2.524 in accordance with scale 5 of the Collective Labour Agreement for the Dutch hospitality and catering industry;
- a contract of 38 hours per week;
- 25 leave days and time off for any overtime;
- Extra day off during your birthday month;
- a commuting allowance from 10 kilometres and above up to €150 per month, on the basis of the actual number of kilometres;
- a night-shift allowance of 20% and a Sunday allowance of 5%;
