Our Analytics Chapter plays a crucial role in developing cutting-edge solutions to detect and prevent fraudulent activities. We're seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to join our dynamic team.
Role Overview
As an Engineering Lead, you'll be a key player in our mission to safeguard against financial crimes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive technical excellence, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions. Your daily tasks will involve coding, maintaining systems, and mentoring junior engineers. If you're passionate about leveraging technology to fight financial fraud, this role is for you!
Responsibilities
- Code Development and Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust code for detecting financial crimes.
- Optimize existing algorithms and implement new ones to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Take ownership of the technical roadmap for our financial crime detection systems.
- Identify areas for improvement, prioritize initiatives, and ensure timely execution.
Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to align technical goals with business objectives.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering their growth and skill development.
Conduct regular code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and promote best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Scala (or similar) for building scalable and performant applications.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data processing frameworks within the Hadoop ecosystem.
- Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Problem-solving mindset and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
