looking for a (Sr.) Project Manager


 Summary & Scope of Position:

The Project Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of activities involved in

the planning, conduct and on-time completion of assigned drug development projects including the

management of deliverables, adherence to budget, and ongoing risk mitigation. The Project Manager

supports cross-functional project teams to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget,

and with high quality. Cross-functional team members may include any of the following: research,

development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, regulatory, clinical operations, finance,

accounting, business development and marketing.

Reports into: CSO Aduro Biotech (Oss, The Netherlands) & VP Project Management (Berkeley,


Primary Responsibilities:

•    Supports the Project Team Leader to ensure the execution and control of project activities

•    Implements global project management systems and procedures  according  to  and  in  alignment

​     with the project management group at Aduro Biotech, Inc.

•   Develops detailed project plans in conjunction with Project Team Leader and team members including

​    timelines, resources, risk management, communication plans, and budgets

•   Provides project coordination and communication in support of cross-functional teams

•   Identifies and tracks the project's critical path - identify risks, formulate and monitor corrective courses

​    of action

•   Identifies and tracks key study metrics in order to support identification  of  issues  (early) and conduct

​    root-cause investigations for issue resolution and/or escalation

•   Identifies changes to the approved project plan and manages through a  change  control process

​    which reviews impact on timelines, budget and resources

•   Integrates understanding of constraints across and within projects and recommends alternatives

•   Establishes communication plans for information distribution to team members and senior

​    management.

•   Tracks project activities & budget and communicate status to management and accounting​

•   Schedules, conducts and drafts minutes for project team meetings and ensures regular, efficient team

​    and stakeholder communication

•   Conducts project/program reviews at significant milestones or gates to evaluates successes as

​    compared to baseline estimates

•   Supports oversight of contracts and outsourced activities with multiple vendors, CROs, CMOs, and

​    business partners


•    Master’s degree or PhD in a scientifically related field.

•    At least 5 y experience in drug development gained in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology

​     organization

•    Project management experience preferred, proven background and experience in oncology and

     immunology desired

•    Excellent communication (verbal, written, active listening), organizational, computer skills

     (MS Project, Excel required)

•     May include global travel (as needed)
