The TU Delft Library is the largest technical-scientific library in the Netherlands and has the task of safeguarding the availability of technical-scientific information for TU Delft and all of the Netherlands. We focus as much as possible on providing digital services and digital, technical-scientific information.
The Library performs its services with a strong attention to customer service and quality but also aims higher. Where its responsibilities to the university and the Netherlands are concerned, the Library strives to expand its role to new territory. Our expertise enables us to improve the information and knowledge holdings of the university, contribute to the increase, valorisation and exploitation of the knowledge available, and to make this available to parties outside the university.
TU Delft aims to make open research and open education a standard part of scientific practice with its Open Science Programme 2020 - 2024.
Open Science makes the research process more transparent, and results more accessible: learning materials, scientific articles, data and code become open for anyone to see. It demands new approaches to scholarly communication, influencing the core academic processes of research, education and innovation.
The programme consists of 5 projects: on education, open access and publishing, data and software; and 3 themes: rewards & recognition, collaboration with industry, and skills development.

It is a position with a size of 36-40 hours per week (1.0FTE). The employment contract is for a period of 2 year with possibility of extension. The salary is based on scale 11 from the collective agreement for Dutch Universities with a minimum of € 3637 and a maximum of € 4978 gross per month for a full-time appointment. You will be classified on the basis of knowledge and experience. You will accrue pension via the ABP pension fund.
Besides of course the holiday allowance in May, you will receive an end-of-year bonus of 8.3% in December. You can also compile a part of your terms of employment package yourself with the help of the Individual Terms and Conditions package, including buying and selling leave hours.
