Central Product

Central Product will bridge the Booking of today into the Booking of tomorrow, and lead the evolution of Booking from a single product company to a multi-product offering company with an unprecedented, personalised travel experience at the heart of its success.

B. Responsible

As a Frontend Developer, you’ll join our thriving team of curious, fast-paced and focused people. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, iterating quickly, building products from scratch and taking ownership for whatever you build. You’ll also be expected to collaborate with teammates and colleagues across the business to influence new tech solutions and contribute to our future vision.

Important aspects of the job include:

  • Rapidly developing next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems.
  • Solving issues with the site and internal systems, prioritizing based on customer impact
  • Acting as an intermediary for problems, with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Testing; we run thousands of experiments running at one time. We built one of the most advanced A/B testing platforms in the industry.
  • Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning features using JavaScript and HTML/CSS
  • Contributing to the growth of Booking.com through interviewing, on-boarding, or other recruitment efforts

B.Skilled

We’re looking for driven Frontend Developers who enjoy solving problems, who initiate solutions and discussions, and who believe that any challenge can be scaled with the right mindset and tools.

We have found that people who match the following requirements are the ones who fit us best:

  • Minimum of 3 years software development experience; expert understanding of core front-end web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
  • Preferably Experienced with TypeScript
  • Experience with React and Node JS
  • Ability to write high-performance, reusable code
  • Experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues
  • Experience with data-driven product development: analytics, A/B testing, etc
  • Knowledge of version control systems
  • Preferably Comfortable working on a command line
  • Some experience with service oriented architecture and kubernetes is an advantage
  • Excellent communication; written and spoken
