The position of the Customer Acquisition Marketing Program Manager Diabetes EMEA (m/w/d) is designed to drive the accelerated growth of the Diabetes Business increasing the conversion opportunities of people with Diabetes to Medtronic therapies. The main purpose of this role is to define, establish and execute the Diabetes EMEA Customer acquisition marketing strategy and tactical plans focusing on conversion of people living with T1 Diabetes to any of the MDT Diabetes product and services portfolio in order to best contribute to the achievement of the annual business objectives, working closely with the SFE team to drive proper execution through the salesforce channel.
He/she drives the implementation of a well articulated consumer approach to our patient marketing, ensuring consumer industry best practices are properly applied throughout the patient acquisition process, from market research and portfolio positioning to healthy brand development and effective use of multi-channel campaigns.
This role leads all Patient marketing activity to non MDT customers, highly focused on developing a strong consumer communication plan to amplify the mind share of Medtronic Diabetes solutions in the relevant public audience, establishing a solid and modern multichannel communication platform and content to be rolled out throughout EMEA and within the Global framework.
He/she will collaborate closely with the Digital CoE, Patient Exeprience team, HCP Marketing, Market Access and Commercial Development & VBHC and the Business Leaders on EMEA as well as Business and Marketing leaders on cluster/country level. The incumbent reports directly to the Senior Director Marketing & Strategy Diabetes Group EMEA.
Customer Acquisition Marketing
•Leads the Diabetes Patient Acquisition Marketing towards innovative, upskilled and more consumer oriented and customer centric Marketing excellence
•Develops and owns the strategy of the Patient customer acquisition and leads the development of the tactics to support it to meet organizational objectives
•Accountable to drive Medtronic Diabetes brand awareness ensuring sentiment and customer perception develops tangibly to facilitate acquisition of new patients
•Develops and leads the Patient Acquisition Marketing plan targeting substantial market share increases, including target definition and key insights, portfolio-level and product-level messaging and substantiating proof points, pricing strategy and competitive strengths, weaknesses and strategy, channel needs, where necessary unit volume and revenue forecasts with the respective BU Leader. This plan will be dynamic, evolving as customer insight, competitor activity, and market dynamics warrant
•Acts as the customer SME for Patient customer acquisition, developing business area knowledge for projects including direct-to-patient programs
•Responsible for consumerizing our approach to the general diabetes population, developing our brand and our communication style and tactics in a customer centric fashion, amplyfing exponentially our visibility and credibility to the general public
•Acts as key contact with internal/external agency partners for patient acquisition related communications owning the direction on key deliverables
•Leads the implementation of the patient segmentation effort into all acquisition initiatives to maximize the return of each campaign and increase the intelligence around T1 people with Diabetes
•Leads EMEA Patient Market and Customer Insights in the area of acquisition
•Develops deep knowledge of market attractiveness, competitive landscape & market analytics in the different markets
•Captures Patient customer insights, segmentation and develops customized Patient value propositions across our Therapy portfolio
•Identifies new growth opportunities and recommends product/process/service enhancements

•Contributes in building a high performing and highly engaged Patient Marketing team by fostering employee involvement, enhancing teamwork and accountability

•Develops and maintains effective communication across the Diabetes Group to ensure organizational alignment

•Leverages matrix relationships to align others
•BS/BA degree in marketing or economics
•7+ years professional experience in a business function (Sales, Marketing, Business / Market Development) or in a creative marketing agency
•Proven track record in driving demand in consumer or consumer healthcare enviroment
•Hands on experience in design and development of Online and Offline consumer marketing toolkits
•Good understanding of Digital / Social marketing principals
•Experience in Brand equity and Brand development activities
•2+ years of leadership experience, ideally with a heterogenous and distributed team
•A flexible individual feeling at ease in different cultures and situations
•Solid experience in a large corporate environment with a significant matrix culture
•Ability to build interdependent partnerships that cooperate across functions and geographies
•Proven track record of working well with sales management and other relevant personnel
•Fluency in English written and spoken
•Excellent IT skills with experience of Microsoft Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint
•Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
•Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to lead and bring people along towards the Diabetes strategy
•High energy individual that brings enthusiasm and passion into the working environment.
