To support our Restorative Therapy Group within the Neuromodulation Business for the Netherlands we are currently looking for a fulltime commercial and customer-oriented field Sales Representative with excellent communication skills and natural ability to spot business opportunities. This is a great challenge for a sales driven self-starter with commercial or healthcare experience and an entrepreneurial spirit. Fluent Dutch and English is required.
A Day in the Life
We offer you a position where you present and sell Medtronic neuromodulation solutions in the area of pain management to current and future clients. Medtronic neuromodulation solutions help physicians to provide relief to patients with various indications of chronic pain. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining and developing the Pain Therapies business with existing and new customers in your sales territory (North or South part of the Netherlands).
We expect you to be able to learn and comprehend complex medical and scientific information, maximize client brand, achieve daily sales call activities and client deliverables by gaining access to decision makers and influencing physician product usage in a highly competitive market.
You are able to communicate persuasively, demonstrate product knowledge and display knowledge of key customers. In this role you will contribute to customer product awareness and loyalty. It will be your job to meet (or preferably exceed) financial and non-financial targets in a way that enhances Medtronic’s reputation in the market. In this commercial position you will fulfill a number of tasks in the field of sales management, ranging from market analyses and developing sales strategies to performing sales activities such as product introductions and support technical procedures when necessary. You will identify and address all key decision makers, opinion leaders and referrals, extend existing accounts and develop entirely new ones.
Building strong and lasting business relationships is another important task, as is identifying and preparing upcoming tenders, market trends and competitor’s information. Furthermore, you will work in a team in conjunction with both your counterparts in the other sales territories and Technical Consultants.
We are looking for a hands-on individual with a commercial mindset. You are a self-motivated team member who can work independently but is also a team player. You have demonstrated being both results driven and quality oriented, to act with integrity and to have an ambition for continued learning and improvement.
Your key responsibilities include:
•Achieve agreed budgets, focused on sales growth
•Present, in-service and sell Pain Therapy products and services to current and potential clients
•Support and advise the physician on the correct use of Medtronic devices
•Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
•Manage account services through quality checks and another follow-up
•Identify and resolve client concerns
•Optimize tender management in region
•Lead with clinical selling activities within the territory
•Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
•Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the contacts to be made
•Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
•Interacting with purchasing managers / hospital administrators to set up and negotiate broader sales contracts
•Take a wide organizational view of selling and managing accounts, with sufficient knowledge of competitors and their products
•Maintain customer knowledge by gathering information about account activities and potential, key decision makers, competitive participation, market share etc.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•Experience within sales or healthcare
•Advanced presentation and negotiation skills
•Used to work independently with a high level of time management skills
•Being a good listener to colleagues of different levels with an ability to understand and to execute plans
•Fluency in Dutch and English
•Good computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
•Ability to perform in a complex matrix organization
Nice to haves
•Living in the North, South Central Netherlands region
•Sales experience within the medical devices or pharma industry
•Product launch, territory/account planning and forecasting experience
•Experience with Salesforce.com
•Capable of reading/understanding/discussing clinical data
