In this technically and commercial challenging role you will participate in the office staff of the Aftersales & Services department of IHC SAS-HYTOP BV. Our Aftersales & Services department is 24/7 available for their customers and provides services anywhere in the world in terms of commissioning, maintenance training and technical support for state of the art pipe lay equipment, offloading systems and sophisticated hydraulic installations for the Maritime, Dredging and Offshore industry. Our goal is to solve problems in a quick and professional way and to support the operations of our customers anywhere at any time.

As Sales Support Officer you will work on highly demanding and challenging service projects in multi-disciplinary teams. Within our sales team you will take responsibility for the issuance of quotations for parts and services. You will also assist to facilitate the closing of the contract and to ensure a smooth handover to the Service Project Manager. In this role you will report to the Sales Manager.

In this role your tasks will be:

  • identifing and analyzing proposal requirements based on the customer's needs, tender selection criteria, budget restrictions etc.
  • providing cost estimations for the projects to be included in quotes
  • providing the relevant technical and commercial quotation documents, and ensuring that final documentation is prepared.
  • providing technical and commercial proposals for service jobs and parts
  • providing OEM spare part lists for new equipment and systems build by IHC SAS-Hytop
  • acting as point of contact for customers
  • procurement of the required parts and materials
  • completing orders in relation to administration, planning and finance

We are looking for a commercial talent with knowledge of the maritime industry and excellent communication skills. You are dedicated, and show initiative. Punctuality and reliability are also hallmarks of the way you approach your work.

To be eligible for this position, you must also have the following:

  • a bachelor's degree (HBO) in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Business Administration
  • several years of experience working within a service or sales organization or department in a technical environment with a global customer base
  • knowledge and experience in the offshore, dredging and heavy industry would be beneficial
  • well-developed communication skills, customer-focused and service-oriented
  • a proactive and hands-on attitude, the ability to cope with stress and a flexible approach
  • experience in using Microsoft Office and experience with the use of Exact Globe (ERP) software would be beneficial
  • a critical, flexible and curious mindset
  • fluency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal
