Customer Service Employee DSM Delft

As a Customer Service Employee, you will be responsible for the customer experience in handling the Order to Cash process (OTC). We are looking for a strong communicator, winner mentality, ownership. Strong experience in the OTC process for MEA region. Not only having export knowledge but also a person who is able to specify the specifics of export customers compared to EU customers. You will provide customers and sales staff with excellent service and actual information. You will closely work together with sales and account managers, your Supply Chain colleagues, and your colleagues in the department. You are proactive in building good relationships with your customers and internal stakeholders, in processing and following up on customer orders in SAP and in continuously improving your daily work. Within a strong LEAN/continuous improvement culture, we expect you to proactively come up with ideas to improve the customer experience as well as the OTC process efficiency and automation by using your excellent analytical skills, creativity and drive for results; we consider this as a very important part of your role. Next, to that, you are a strong team player that will back up and help your colleagues in the team. In this position, you will report to a Team Leader.

What will you do
You will be responsible for a customer portfolio and the related administrative activities of the OTC process. Commercial Assistant for export orders in the CISMEA region:

  • Handle intensive internal- and external communication around the delivery of orders and required documentation
  • Ability to understand the customer needs beyond the actual “request” or “question
  • Being able to evaluate and handle or challenge special customer requirements in a professional manner and make judgment calls independently
  • Ability to resolve complex customer issues and keep the customer informed of progress proactively
  • Think “outside the box” to manage the different situations
  • Detailed orientated and on top of all pending issues
  • Keep all stakeholders informed about the progress of the order
  • Having a good understanding of the entire export process
  • Having a good understanding of the different export documents
  • Having a good knowledge about customs regulations/procedures
  • Familiar with and have a good understanding of the Incoterms
  • Ensures compliance with DSM’s documents and procedures
