As a QESSH manager, together with the relevant officers (eg production manager and project manager) you are responsible for safety at workplaces in accordance with health and safety legislation and regulations, compliance with legislation and regulations with regard to the environment and the quality of the products supplied and the entire production process. You report to the management and you lead the QESSH department.
You prepare procedures, analysis methods and quality criteria and monitor these. This is translated in the quality manual. You advise management and MT on policy, safety, responsibility, liability and the development of new products, production methods and legislation. You organize internal audits, perform audits at (international) suppliers. You supervise inspections by customers and inspection authorities. You ensure that the required specifications and drawings are available for verification and control tasks.
Together with the QESSH department, you ensure that procedures relating to safety and the environment are complied with, and you identify, analyze and report unsafe situations. You report accidents and environmental incidents. You regularly consult with operational departments such as production and purchasing. You translate customer specific requirements in the field of QESSH into internal departments, you advise the purchasing department in selecting suppliers with regard to quality aspects. You also have external contacts with (primordial) authorities when, for example, applying for and / or changing environmental permits.
You have a completed HBO education, preferring quality management. You have at least three years of work experience in an independent quality function within a technical organization. You have experience working in a production organization as well as project-driven activities. Up-to-date knowledge with applicable laws and regulations and certifications. You have knowledge of new developments and regulations with regard to QESSH. You are able to work under time pressure and you have strong analytical skills.
