In this new role, based at Aarding's offices in Nunspeet, you will be responsible for CECO's HR organisation at 7 locations. Aarding in Nunspeet and Mefiag in Heerenveen are part of this organisation; you will regularly be present at their offices. Mefiag and Aarding have a combined staff of around 60 employees. In your capacity of HR manager you will also be responsible for another five smaller sized companies in the UK (2), Singapore, India and Dubai. You will visit these companies several times a year to get to know the people working there and get a feel for the business. These visits require traveling for a few days to a week, however, you primarily serve these companies remotely. Close contact will be maintained by frequent use of video conferencing and telephone calls. All companies combined employ around 125 people. You primarily deal with the Segment Presidents and General Managers of the different companies.
CECO's HR organisation is centralised in Dallas (Texas, USA). You report to the Director Global HR based there. In your role, you facilitate the complete HR process for the different companies. The US organisation has extensive knowledge and a clear vision on employer relations, succession planning and personnel development. It is your responsibility to implement this vision throughout the companies and take HR to the next level. You support the managers mainly in the field of organisational and personnel development. In this context, you organise training courses on location, contribute ideas about the organisational structure of a branch, assist with performance and assessment interviews, facilitate the drafting of performance plans, and spar with managers about motivating and coaching their teams.
You are also involved in recruitment. You identify existing needs and translate them into specific candidate profiles. After this stage, you bring in local partners who will carry out the recruitment process. You keep supporting the manager involved for the remainder of this whole process, up until the selected candidate starts their employment. After the selection process, you also prepare employment contracts, taking into account local employment laws and regulations. Furthermore, you act as a sparring partner for various HR related issues, and assist the manager with questions and process monitoring with regard to sick leave, dismissal, files creation and remuneration.
At some of the local branches a local employee will provide you with administrative assistance.

You completed education at senior vocational/university level, preferably in HR, and have extensive experience in a similar role, within an international technically oriented organisation. You are fluent in English. You have extensive knowledge of international employment laws and regulations. You are willing to travel a few times a year, for several days/weeks at a time, and do not have a nine-to-five mentality.
You have a strong personality, have a helicopter view of what is needed, and know how to translate it into a practical approach. You have the ability to prioritise and have a thoughtful and structured way of working.
In your collaboration with managers your style is coaching and advising, however, when necessary, you are also capable of confronting and mirroring. In this, your goal is always to support the managers in managing their teams.
Obviously, you are discrete and show integrity, while coming across as trustworthy and accessible, resulting in close relationships with others in the organisation. This enables you to support the organisation and its employees in their development.
